I’ve praised McMenamin brothers before. These guys really know what they are doing when it comes to hotels and a good time. Edgefield (Troutdale, OR) is a century-old complex of buildings that used to be the county poor farm, transformed into relaxed resort.

It looks fantastic and I cannot wait to plan my trip there. You have so many choices of things to do and eat without even leaving the grounds. They have restaurants, pubs, gardens, a spa, an onsite glass-blower, and potter. They also have a brewery, winery, and distillery all on location. It would be impossible not to have a great time at this place.
