I wanted to design a bright and vibrant card. I started out with some circular brushes in Illustrator.

 I used various sizes and stuck with a colorful palette. Abobe Kuler would also work well for a project like this.

From there I took the vector shapes into Photoshop to add and style the text.

I wanted to make sure the text popped on the design so I styled it with a couple different colored strokes and added a custom color shadow.

Voilà, a birthday card worthy of celebration!
