I often find inspiration in everyday things and I decided to do this particular Creative Mind exercise because of that. This exercise had to do with colors and seeing them in things we come across everyday. The task was to take a picture of something that is one of the eight colors in the standard box of crayons (blue, red, yellow, orange, green, purple, brown, and black). One picture for each color and it should be framed in such a way that the color in question is completely dominate.
I automatically gravitated towards nature for this project, but you could easily adapt it to any theme. You could use only man-made objects, articles of clothing, food, or be completely random. There are lots of ways to get creative with this exercise. Feeling ambitious? Try this out with the “big box” of crayons. It’s a fun and easy project that gets you seeing the things around you as inspiration.
